Unfortunately custom themes don't have access to the "waves" in the xmb background. I would like to see more moving backgrounds. Until that happens I probably won't ever use the custom themes options. Hope they unlock that in the future.
Ever since I saw Cloud several years ago, I have enjoyed every game that they have offered.

Jeez.. I didn't notice the sarcasm at the beginning as I was already so angry. I never realized how mad I could get seeing someone mess with that franchise.
Hearing this makes me very happy. I remember renting Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner at Blockbuster because it sounded somewhat interesting. I was amazed at how much fun it was. I still love the level where you get the teleport ability and destroy an army. I might pull the game out this weekend and give it another go. Here's to hoping Kojima will work on the series once he finishes his current project.
From my understanding generally 120 Hz monitors are usually required because 60 frames go to one eye while 60 frames go to the other eye. These TV's might have higher refresh rates.
Your eyes can't tell that there are two sets of images sent to your eyes. You could make a 30 Hz TV produce 3d visuals, but there would only be 15 frames per eye. You will probably get nauseous after a few minutes of watching the screen flicker back and forth at 15 Hz. Hope that helps.
Your comment got me thinking. It wood be funny if a developer used the gap between the screens to censor things. Just a thought.
I see what you did there
This is very interesting. I might finally buy an mp3 player (yes, I know I'm crazy. Also Microsoft will have managed to enter the portable gaming market if the integration with XNA is good. I look forward to their next iteration of their media player.
I enjoyed my CompUSA also. The places that got my money over the years have slowly been going out of business. First CompUSA now Circuit City, all I have left now is essentially Fry's. I remember they would have night openings sometimes near that end of their life. Those were always interesting, as there was always twice the optimal capacity in the store grabbing for the good deals.
I know what you mean. I practically go there every Friday when I'm at home. So much stuff, so little money.
Fry's is amazing. If you do get a chance you will be astounded by their sheer amount of electronics stuff. They manage to hang on to many old games. I was there recently and managed to nab Shin Megami Tensei Noctourne the other day. I haven't seen that game in over 5 years. They also have great sales.
Shoot, I was really looking forward to playing this game. Hopefully this will only be a temporary set back and the game will manage to eventually be released over here.
@FantasyStar
I couldn't agree any more, Lost Odyssey is one of the few good rpgs out this generation. Although I only just started it recently, I was drawn in by the memories. I kept unlocking one after another only to realize an hour had since I had intended to stop.
This and the Zeebo are now entering the fray both of which have a different take each on how to distribute games.
It works for a large sum of games. Many (in the hundreds) are playable from the beginning to the end.
While they may consider other options I doubt they will go with something else. Just listening to my electrical engineering professors talk about the future of computer architectures, it is obvious that computers will evolve in the direction of having one or two powerful cores with many small ones surrounding the larger ones, much like the cell.
Shoot I think I have 6 psn accounts. One for every region that might get a demo or content first.
Loved the original ones and look forward to playing this sometime in the future. Although there may be fewer of us on n4g who don't care about the console war, we still exist.
I have always found the GTA series to not be my cup of tea, but the DLC for the game seems to be substantial from what I heard. This is kind of content the I would hope developers would relase for other games rather than 2 to 3 dollar items. This adds to the story and length of the game.
I'm with you all about the split screen. My roommate and I wanted to play a coop/multiplayer game, so we looked through my games. Several had multiplayer options. Most were limited to online multiplayer. I really miss the days with the n64. About every other game you could pick up had the option of 2 or 4 player splitscreen.
